What we collect, why we collect it, who helps us run VEXI, how long we keep it, and how to have it deleted.

THE SHORT VERSION

We don't sell your content or your account data, and we don't use your content to train AI models.

Our website shares some browsing data with advertising platforms, which California law can count as a "sale" or "share". Turn that off here, or send a Global Privacy Control signal.

Ask us for a copy of your data, or to delete it, any time: privacy@vexi.app.

Who we are

VEXI (formerly Social Realtr) is operated by a company registered in British Columbia, Canada. This policy covers vexi.app, the VEXI app, the demo, and the emails and messages we send.

What we collect

  • Your account: your name, email address, password (stored scrambled, never readable), your business details and your brand profile — logo, colors, voice and website.
  • Billing: your plan, invoices and payment history. Card details go straight to our payment processor; we keep only the card type, its last four digits and its expiry date.
  • Your content: what you upload (photos, videos, audio, documents), what VEXI makes for you, captions, scripts, recordings and comments.
  • Your connected social media accounts: you connect each one through the platform's own sign-in, so we never see your password. The connection lets VEXI publish for you and read how your posts perform. The access keys are held by our publishing provider, never in your account record.
  • How you use VEXI: what you make and when, how much of your plan you use, your device and browser, and your IP address.
  • Messages to us: what you send our team by email or in the app.
  • On our website: what you type into a form, and — only if advertising is on — which pages you visit and what you click, through an advertising pixel and a product analytics service.

How we use it

  • to make, schedule and publish your content
  • to bill you, and to answer billing questions and disputes
  • to support you, and to keep VEXI and its users safe from abuse
  • to fix problems and understand which features people use
  • to send you emails about your account, and marketing emails only if you said yes or you are our customer — every marketing email has an unsubscribe link

AI, and what it sees

VEXI uses AI models from the AI model providers listed below to write, design, edit, transcribe and check content. Each one sees only what its task needs: your request, your brand profile, and the text, images, video or audio being worked on.

We use their paid business services. We don't use your content to train AI models.

The demo checks every upload automatically before any AI sees it (see The demo).

Your data is stored in the United States, in our hosting provider's New York region. Some of these providers are outside Canada, so your data may be handled in the United States and other countries where they operate.

For the current list of the companies we use, write to privacy@vexi.app.

Before a new kind of provider receives your data, we update this page and the date at the top. If a change affects how your data is used, we email account holders before it takes effect.

We don't sell your content or account data. We may share data if the law requires it, to protect people or our rights, or with a buyer if VEXI is ever sold — and this policy would still apply to it.

How long we keep it

  • While your account is open, we keep your content and account so VEXI can work for you.
  • After your plan ends, your account, your brand profile and your records stay, so you can come back where you left off. Your files stay in your account for 90 days — we email you 7 days before that — then move to our long-term storage.
  • When you delete a file, it leaves your account right away.
  • After an account closes, we keep a record of the relationship for at least 24 months, and for as long as we need it to answer disputes and to meet tax and legal record-keeping rules: when you accepted our terms and which version, invoices and payments, a list of what we made and published and when, and our emails with you.

Your choices and rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to show you the data we hold about you, correct it, send you a copy, or delete it. Email privacy@vexi.app from the address on your account, and we answer within 30 days.

To delete your account, cancel your plan first, then ask us at support@vexi.app and we delete it once your plan has stopped. We keep only the records listed above.

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails from the link in any of them. You can turn off advertising and measurement on our website, and a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser does the same.

If you live in California, you have the rights above plus the right to opt out of the "sale" or "share" of your data — that's the advertising switch — and we won't treat you differently for using any of them.

If you are in Canada and not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Cookies

Our website stores a few things in your browser: your privacy choice, a question you typed on the Help page, and — only if advertising is on — the advertising pixel's cookies. The cookie policy lists every one.

The demo

If you use the demo at vexi.app/demo:

  • Every upload is checked automatically before any AI sees it. We refuse sexual content, anyone who appears to be under 18, graphic violence, hate symbols, and weapons or illegal activity — with one plain line, "We can't work with that upload."
  • If people appear in your upload, you confirm in our Terms that you have the right to use it.
  • What you upload is never looked at by a person, never used to train anything, and never shown to another guest.
  • If you download, we keep your email address, the time you agreed to our terms and which version, and whether you said yes to marketing. We send tips and offers only if you did.
  • With each demo we keep a scrambled copy of your network address and browser details — never the address itself — so we can deal with abuse. If you download, the scrambled address is also kept with your agreement. Report abuse of the demo to privacy@vexi.app.

Text messages

We don't send text messages yet. If we add text alerts, you'll turn them on yourself and confirm your number with a code first, you can reply STOP at any time, and we won't share your number or your consent with anyone for marketing.

Children

VEXI is for businesses and adults. It isn't meant for anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect data from children. If you think a child has given us data, tell us and we'll delete it.

Keeping it safe

We use HTTPS everywhere. The keys to your social media accounts are never kept in your account record, and staff access to client accounts is logged. More on the security page.

Changes to this policy

When we change this policy, the date at the top changes. If a change affects how your data is used, we email account holders before it takes effect.
