OpusClip vs VEXI

OpusClip is very good at one job: clipping long videos. Here is how it compares with one app that runs the whole feed.

OpusClip turns long videos into short clips with AI: it finds the moments, reframes them, adds captions and B-roll, and writes titles, descriptions and hashtags. Pro and Business include a social media scheduler; Starter does not. Starter is $15 a month and Pro is $29 a month, and there is a no-cost tier with watermarked clips kept for three days.

VEXI (formerly Social Realtr) is an AI content studio that runs social media for entrepreneurs and creators. You describe what you want and it makes the posts, videos, designs and captions, then schedules and publishes them. Plans start at $199 a month, and every plan starts with a 15-day trial.

The difference is where it starts. OpusClip needs a long video you already have. A feed also needs posts made from a photo, an idea or nothing at all, designed in your brand, every week. VEXI starts from anything and keeps posting. VEXI costs more than OpusClip: plans are $199, $399 or $599 a month. What you pay for is the work you no longer do.

WHY PEOPLE SWITCH

What OpusClip leaves you doing.

  • It Needs A Long Video First

OpusClip clips long videos. With no podcast or long recording to feed it, there is nothing to clip.

VEXI starts from anything: a photo, a clip, a link or nothing at all. Send a long recording and you get its best clips back too.

  • Clips, Not Designed Posts

OpusClip is built to make video clips. Branded graphics, carousels and still posts come from another app.

VEXI designs the post with your logo, colors, fonts and voice. Tap anything on the design to change it.

  • Scheduler Only On Pro And Up

OpusClip's pricing page says Starter has no social media scheduler. Scheduling starts on Pro.

  • Credits And Cancelling

Some Trustpilot reviewers report pressure to buy more credits and charges that continued after they asked to cancel.

One of the best tools for turning a long video into short clips, with a scheduler on Pro. It needs a long video to start from, and it makes clips, not designed posts.
