Canva vs VEXI

Canva is where most people design their posts. Here is how it compares with one app that designs, edits and posts for you.

Canva is a design suite for the browser and phone: templates, a brand kit, a video editor and AI design tools. Its AI update of April 2026 can lay out a set of designs from one prompt. On paid plans, its Content Planner schedules designs to your social accounts. There is a no-cost plan; Pro is $18 a month for one person, and Business is $25 a person.

VEXI (formerly Social Realtr) is an AI content studio that runs social media for entrepreneurs and creators. You describe what you want and it makes the posts, videos, designs and captions, then schedules and publishes them. Plans start at $199 a month, and every plan starts with a 15-day trial.

The difference is who does the work. Canva hands you a great canvas: you pick the template, place the photo, cut the video on its timeline, write the caption and fill the planner, every week. VEXI does that work. You ask once, and the post comes back designed, edited, captioned and scheduled. VEXI costs more than Canva: plans are $199, $399 or $599 a month. What you pay for is the work you no longer do.

WHY PEOPLE SWITCH

What Canva leaves you doing.

  • You Are Still The Designer

Canva gives you templates and AI tools, and you move every piece into place. Even its AI drafts come back for you to finish.

VEXI designs the post with your logo, colors, fonts and voice. Tap anything on the design to change it.

  • The Video Edit Is Yours

Canva's video editor is a timeline you drive. Cutting your clips, laying music and adding captions is still your job.

Send VEXI the clips you shot and they come back cut, with B-roll, music and captions, sized for each platform.

  • The Planner Waits For You

The Content Planner posts what you put in it. Deciding what goes out each day, and making it, is still on you.

VEXI Autopilot runs your week ahead: it writes, cuts and posts, and can wait for your approval on everything.

  • Billing Complaints

Canva is rated 4.0 on Trustpilot. Some reviewers report a cancellation that did not stick and a renewal charged again.

Canva vs VEXI, asked and answered.

Can Canva post to social media for me?

On paid plans, Canva's Content Planner schedules the designs you put in it to your connected accounts. What to post, and making it, is still yours. VEXI makes the post and puts it out, on a schedule or on Autopilot.

Can Canva edit my videos?

Canva has a video editor, and you do the editing on its timeline. VEXI edits the clips you send: cuts, B-roll, music and captions, without opening an editor.

How much does Canva cost?

There is a no-cost plan. Pro is $18 a month billed monthly for one person, and Business is $25 a person a month. Canva's own pricing page did not open for us, so these figures are from a third-party price tracker.

What do Trustpilot reviewers say about Canva?

Canva is rated 4.0 on Trustpilot. Some reviewers report a cancel button that is hard to find, a cancellation reversed without notice, and slow replies to refund requests.
